Replacement of the community hall at Blakenhall

The aim is to replace a 1914 former army barracks used as a village hall since 1939. The new hall will have all the facilities required for a modern community, computers, WI-FI, learning needs, youth club equipment within an energy efficient environment. The hall is beyond repair and by bringing a new hall to this rurally deprived area will enhance the lifestyle, social interaction and environment of this widespread community. This is the only meeting point in the parish and it is crucial that it stays as part of the community, if not, residents will seek other areas to live as there is only a small school and church.
