Replacement of the hall ceiling and toilet refurbishment

Install new ceiling tile system under the existing ceiling; remove and replace existing ladies and gents toilets.

The ceiling tiles in the main hall are old and have bowed over time. This causes the space to be draughty and lose heat. Additionally, the 50 year old toilets are in desperate need of refurbishment; they are are dark, dirty and uninviting, despite being cleaned daily.

The building is used by two Women’s Institute groups, Darby & Joan, a ladies group, uniformed groups, for exercise classes, as a warm space, and for private parties and events. The site is also used by several support groups for those with diabetes, heart conditions and vulnerable adults

The new ceiling will make the space warmer for all users and toilet improvements will make the space more welcoming to users.
