Replacement Roof and Wall upgrade to existing Scout Headquarters

We propose to replace the main roof of our scout headquarters which was built in 1965/66. The building is cold since the fabric does not consist of any insulation currently. This requires the walls/roof to be fully lined and meet current building regulations. The building fabric is very basic and contains no insulation to the walls or roof. The building is thermally inefficient and wastes electrical energy provided to the meeting hall. This means the HQ suffers high energy bills; its carbon footprint is poor and we contribute to a wasteful use of energy resource. By undertaking the upgrade, our young members will be able to meet in a more comfortable environment, we will be able to reduce the electricity used and make valuable savings on energy bills.
