Replacement Viewing Hide – Cresswell Pond

To replace the viewing hide at Cresswell Pond and to improve access to it through adaptation work to the pathway and entrance gate. After 20 years of use, the hide is in disrepair due to the rotting at the base, and internally – caused by leaks in the roof. Furthermore, the hide is currently inaccessible to people with mobility problems, due to a muddy and irregular entrance gate and pathway leading to the boardwalk. Improved access and facilities will enable NWT to increase its community engagement activities at this SSSI designated site.
