Replacing the Church Roof, St James’ Church, Walsall

This is a project to complete the re-roofing of the whole church building of St James’ Church in Brownhills with new tiles and energy efficient insulation, as recommended by the church’s architects.

Having the church roof replaced will mean that the church can safely continue its efforts to connect meaningfully with its local community, which is a deprived part of Walsall. It will mean that the church’s warm, welcoming and carpeted interior, with comfortable chairs, can be used to support those in the community that need help with money management and debt problems. It is also used as a place of welcome for those that are lonely and in need of a friendly person to talk to. Hot drinks and soup are offered in the winter months, creating a warm environment. The church is also used regularly for children’s events, community meals, community concerts, and community fun days.
