Research into Bioremediation of Landfill Leachate Using Miscanthus

Develop a new method of cleaning leachate by the use of miscanthus. Miscanthus is a promising crop for receiving leachate, as it can use large amounts of liquid, is shallow rooted so suitable for growing above the landfill cap and contaminants are accumulated in the plant rhizomes, leaving a harvestable upper plant.
