Research into the potential to increase kerbside recycling rates through the use of PCV operations in pedestrian town areas

FN! Currently operates kerbside recycling rounds throughout Lewes Town. There are, however, a sustainable number of households we are unable to reach due to their inaccessibility for normal vehicles. An electricity-powered Pedestrian Controlled Vehicle (PCV) is an ideal solution: operated by a single worker, able to travel along pavements and collect from area where traffic congestion and logistics deny use of any other method. This type of vehicle is highly economic to run and maintain, and has proved immensely valuable in other urban settings. We intend to apply via LTCS to raise sufficient funds to purchase a PCV.
