Restoration and Enhancement of Suffolk Heathland

To restore and enhance heathland habitat (UK and LBAP priority habitat) at Minsmere and North Warren and Aldringham Walks nature reserves. We propose to manage invasive bracken by chemical control and by cutting and removing scrub and gorse. A helicopter will be used to aerially spray the designated bracken areas whilst staff and volunteers will spray smaller areas of bracken by hand and re-treat the aerially sprayed areas to eradicate any surviving fronds.
