Restoration of a 1750 turret clock and dials

Our project is to restore a turret clock dating from 1750. The clock hasn’t worked for a number of years and both dials are in an extremely poor condition and need replacing. We would also like to replace the existing hand winding mechanism with an automatic one.

The clock was made by Whichcote of London in 1750 and takes the form of a cage with strike, leading out to two 8’ 6” octagonal copper dials with moulded wooden surrounds.
