Projects / RESTORATION OF BISHOPS PARK POND

RESTORATION OF BISHOPS PARK POND

The restoration of the pond in Bishops Park is part of a larger project to restore and revive the entire park and the grounds of the adjacent Fulham Palace.

The overarching objective of the pond redevelopment is the provision of a formal and informal educational resource to support identified target groups and the general public to learn about the local natural environment, bio-diversity and conservation within the wider environment incorporating the exploration of the eco-system.

As part of a wider education programme incorporating the park, the river and the adjacent Fulham Palace the pond will provide a valuable outdoor education resource for local schools and the wider community including existing core users, non-white ethnic communities, low income, high deprivation communities, young people, families, older people and people with disabilities.
