Restoration of Church Bells of St Peter’s Rodmarton

To restore for swing chiming 3 bells of historic interest in St Peter’s church Rodmarton. 2 bells date from 1626 made by Roger Purdue I of Bristol. The third bell dates from 1716 and is by Abraham Rudhall I. All three are in an original state. They will have their cast in crown staples removed. The bells will be turned when rehung in the existing frame. Hardwood canon-retaining headstock. Traditional forged supporting ironwork. Independent crown staple unit. Ductile iron clapper. Steel chiming lever. New ropes.
