Restoration of floodplains grazing marsh on the Otmoor Basin and along the Upper Thames Tributaries

Restoration of 75ha of former arable land back to prime flood plain grazing marsh (UK BAP Habitat). The work will include improvements to land already under restoration and the extension of the habitat on an arable land. This will include installation of water infrastructure, soil restoration, seeding, etc. We will also be installing predator proof- fencing around a further 35ha of floodplain grazing marsh. Running alongside this is a project to expand wetland restoration to extend to the surrounding land which will include wetland wildlife restoration, research, monitoring, and education conservation project to stimulate wetland habitat creation / restoration, and sustain long term breeding wading bird range expansion and population increases.
