Restoration of Grade 2 Listed Walls In Thorpe Village

This project seeks funding for the expert repair and restoration of approx 14 metres of Grade 2 Listed Wall in Thorpe Village.
The huge brick boundary walls, measuring 2.2 metres high and 600mm thick, represent a key feature in Thorpe Village Conservation Area and are an important part of the Village’s heritage. However, the walls have deteriorated substantially over the last 20 years and are now in such a poor state of repair that urgent remedial works are required to ensure their preservation for future generations.
Work will be carried out by a historic brickwork specialist and will involve dismantling both the wall and associated supports and rebuiding using the existing bricks wherever possible.
