Restoration of Grade II listed walls in Thorpe village

This project seeks funding for the expert repair and restoration of approximately 14 metres of Grade II listed walls in Thorpe village.
The huge brick boundary walls, measuring 2.2 metres high and 600 mm thick, represent a key feature in Thorpe village conservation area and are an important part of the villages heritage. However, the walls have deteriorated substantially over the last 20 years and are now in such a poor state of repair that urgent remedial works are required to ensure their preservation for future generations.
Work will be carried out by a historic brickwork specialist and will involve dismatling both the walls and associated supports and rebuilding using existing bricks wherever possible.
