The specific objectives of the Project are:- To restore 3 hectares of species rich grassland. To provide cattle handling facilities for the whole of the grazing area of the National Nature Reserve To allow grazing of the fields by rare breeds To conserve and protect the following LBAP species: Barn Owl Yellow hammer Tree Sparrow Narrow Bordered Five Spot Burnett Moth Reed Bunting Leisler’s Bat To provide a publically available view of rare breeds . The project will include the fencing of low fertility rank grassland to allow grazing to take place and to connect 2 areas of high quality priority habitat. A single field will be fenced as a demonstration site. The facilities will allow grazing of the low fertility field which will be seeded from brush harvested wildflowers from other parts of the Reserve.
