Restoration of leaded light windows in relocated Workers Institute

We are requesting funds to help meet the costs of re-instating replica patterned glass in the Workers’ Institute which is currently being rebuilt, brick by brick, to provide a brand-new exhibit at the Black Country Living Museum. By replacing the glass to the exact specification as when it was built, we restore the building to its former glory whilst at the same time keep alive the history of glass making to the region, helping to promote the importance and significance to the Black Country of crafts and trades many of which have long since disappeared.
