Restoration of Moat Farm Pool

This project is to restore Moat Farm Pond in Pelsall Village, Walsall, for the benefir of local residents and visitors. The pool is currently overgrown with vegetation and quite silted up, which results in it drying up in the summer. Excavating the pond will create a greater depth which will reduce the likelihood of the pool drying out and enhance the site for wildlife. Removing some of the trees will improve visibility around the pool and encourage visitors and reduce leaf fall into the water. An improved surface to the path around the pool will allow better access for all users. Production and installation of an interpretation panel with provide information on the wildlife and history of the pool for visitors.
