Projects / Restoration of nave ceiling

Restoration of nave ceiling

As a result of undetected water ingress through the roof of the nave over many years, some of the timberwork of the vaulted ceiling decayed until finally a large section of the ceiling collapsed.

The nave roof has now been renewed in stainless steel (previously lead), so the nave is water-tight once more . It is now therefore appropriate to carry out the restoration and re-decoration of the ceiling by specialist ornamental plasterwork contractors.
