Restoration of Obelisks at Front of Kraftmeier Mausoleum, Sevenoaks Town Council

This is a project to replace the obelisks at the front of the Kraftmeier Mausoleum in Greatness Cemetery near Sevenoaks, which were stolen several years ago. The Kraftmeier Mausoleum was erected in 1908 in Art Nouveau style in dedication to Esme Kraftmeier, who died age 12. It has a rough hewn granite base with a rectangular two-tone stone mausoleum above with barrel vaulted copper roof. The project includes the provision of an information and educational leaflet on an external board and a series of “open days” to raise the profile of the KM and increase its enjoyment by the wider public.
