Restoration of Palace Park Wood, North West Kent Countryside Partnership

This is a project to make habitat, access, and visitor engagement improvements at Palace Park Wood, reintroducing the local community to this neglected green space. It involves improving the wildlife value of the site and enhancing biodiversity. A key element of the project is supporting a priority species (the Hedgehog) by carrying out specific habitat improvements for Hedgehogs at Palace Park Wood and Otford Palace Field. It will involve engaging with local residents living between these two sites, to create access holes in fences for Hedgehogs and establishing a route through gardens between Palace Park Wood and Otford Palace Field. The project will help local people to engage with local wildlife and make improvements for an endangered species.
