Restoration of Rea’s Wood wet woodland

The project aim is to involve volunteers and local people in undertaking habitat improvements at Rea’s Wood on the north-eastern shore of Lough Neagh, by removing alien invasive species which are seriously damaging the quality of the woodland and principally Himalayan balsam, sycamore and Japanese knotweed. Rea’s Wood on the north-eastern shore of Lough Neagh, approximately one mile south-east of Antrim town centre.
