Restoration of the Great Polish Map of Scotland

To restore a large outdoor map of Scotland, designed and built by a group of Polish students and local people in the mid-1970s to commemorate the historical and cultural links between Poland and Scotland, especially during WWII. It comprises a 3 -D terrain relief model, in concrete, of the whole of Scotland, including water features of lochs, rivers and coast. It has now fallen into disrepair due to frost damage and weeds. It has been listed by Historic Scotland (Category B) and is believed to be the largest terrain relief model of a complete nation in the world.
