Restoration of the Pritchard Bridge, Llandaff, Cardiff

To restore this fine late C19 Grade II listed bridge, designed by John Prichard, to cross a mill-stream (now filled in). The bridge was identified as ‘at risk’ in an independent survey carried out in 2006. The aim of the project is to preserve and enhance the historic structure for the benefit of future generations.

Without restoration, the bridge is likely to become structurally unsound. This may force closure and possibly prohibitive future repair costs.

Restoration of this bridge will also involve associated volunteer-led rubbish clearance and bulb planting to compliment the bridge’s woodland setting.
