Restoration of worked out peat diggings at Westhay Moor

This project will restore worked out peat diggings, both raised mire and fen meadow at Westhay Moor National Nature Reserve, which is a SSSI, Special Protection Area and within the Sedgemoor Prime BioDiversity Area. This project will improve habitat for key animal, plant and invertebrate species. The general public will benefit from the improved management works on the reserve, which is of prime importance to local communities and visitors from wider afield. In addition, a leaflet will be produced for visitors to promote the area and the species that can be found and enjoyed there
