Restore Our Heath

The main aim of the project is the restoration of heathland. We are planning to install conservation grade fencing and gates to facilitate grazing. We will create a pond for the benefit of amphibians and reptiles and we will undertake practical habitat management including flailing of gorse and bracken. Interpretation panels will be installed to explain the significance of open heathland habitats and the benefits of conservation grazing to visitors.
