Restoring a Cotswolds Gem

The project will rebuild the original dry stone boundary wall at Butterfly Conservation’s Rough Bank reserve in Gloucestershire. This will enable conservation grazing to take place which is essential to restore the limestone grassland habitat. Once suitable we plan to reintroduce the Large Blue butterfly to the site, and are confident that the Dike of Burgundy butterfly will naturally recolonise the Reserve.
