Restoring Chalk Grassland – Tring Park

The restoration of 9ha of Lowland clarcareous grassland/chalk grassland at Tring Park SSSI on the scarp slope. The escarpement has been out of grazing management for 20 years, this project seeks to restore its condition through a programme of mannual scrub clearance, treatment for invasive species and cutting regimes in order to restore the condition of the chalk grassland and ultimately enable the reintroduction of grazing on the slope in future.
