Restoring Heyshams Longhouse

Aims are to: 1. restore and conserve the building 2. provide extended museum space, loft gallery and venue of a size suitable for community events and learning opportunities. 3. improved disabled access to the museum# 4. provide new accessible and engaging interpretation displays and exhibitions as well as educational and promotional materials 5. encouraging greater involvement and participation from the local community and providing a unique historic space for their use and leisure.
