Restoring lowland grassland habitats in Gloucestershire’s Severn Vale

The project aims to restore and reconnect existing fragmented habitats, through the creation of new habitat to create large expanses of robust and viable habitats. This will link vulnerable, isolated species populations enabling them to populate new areas. This landscape scale resoration is expected to become the principal strategy nationwide to enable wildife to respond to climate change. Key habitats include lowland hay meadows, old and traditional orchards, lowland wet grassland, reed beds and wet woodland.
