Restoring Sywell and Hardwick Wood to Conserve Rare Butterflies

Targeted conservation management will secure the Wood White population at Sywell and Hardwick Wood making a vital contribution towards the long-term survival of this species. The project will restore suitable breeding habitat by: • undertaking 1,500m of ride management; • reinstating and seeding a 200m ditch; and • surveying and monitoring the habitat and key species. The work will be undertaken by volunteers and contractors and be led by a part-time Project Officer.
