Restoring woodland biodiversity at Lang Craigs

The overall aim of the project is to clear 10.6ha of rhododendron from Lang Craigs Wood at immediate risk of spreading to adjacent areas of important habitats, to support the regeneration and conservation of woodland BAP habitats and species, and designated areas. The project will benefit four UK-BAP and ancient wooded habitats, and nine UKBAP-listed species. The project will also contribute to the UKBAP Target 3 specific to native woodlands; the Scottish native woodland HAP; and the Dunbartonshire LBAP.
