Revitalise: assault course upgrades for a new generation of users

Stanwick Lakes is Northamptonshire’s most imaginative outdoor activity destination, with play areas designed to keep adventurous families entertained for hours. One of these areas is the assault course, designed to be fun and challenging for a wide range of ages and abilities. Grandparents and their grandchildren can often be seen using it, although it is just as popular with teenagers too old for traditional play areas. We deliberately commission unique pieces of equipment to make a visit to the assault course stimulating and unusual, attracting visitors who would not normally be interested in a more off the peg offer. The equipment has proved so popular that some of it has now started to wear out, giving us the chance to renew and revitalise this area. We are looking to replace the Diamond climbing frame with a similar, but slightly different item, designed to offer new and enjoyable experiences, as well as replace worn out balance beams.
