Revolution Manchester - Main Building Redevelopment

This project will involve creating a new entrance area and orientation space for MOSI's Main Building that will transform the visitor experience. We will create an introductory gallery, Revolution Manchester, which will form the focal point for entry to the museum. Iconic objects will showcase Manchester's important industrial, technological, scientific and social achievements. The museum's highly popular interactive science gallery - Experiment - will be redesigned, revitalised and relocated to the first floor as part of the project. A new Learning Suite made up of four flexible spaces will be incorporated into the top floor for school and community groups. New conferencing facilities, and a shop, restaurant and cafe will also be built.
