Rhonehouse Fair Green

The project is to improve the village green of Rhonehouse in 4 main ways.
1. By planting native tree species (Hawthorn, Birch, Ash and Hazel)
2. By managing the grassland to encourage diversity and protect the locally rare species of Spignel (in the local Biodiversity Action Plan)
3. By developing interpretation panels depicting wildlife, the panorama and cultural history (the Green goes back to the 18th century)
4. By improving access to the area by providing better seating / picnic facilities and strimming grass footpaths

All work will be carried out by a local community group of volunteers.
