Richmond Road Hall – urgent roof repairs

Our hall acts as a village hall on a NFP basis. It’s large with a stage. The grounds large, grassed with many trees. Well, used weekly by groups, including Air Cadets, Brownies, WI, Tuesday Club for older people, AA, MangoJams, and Messy Church focused on young children, and a model bus group. It has hosted:- St. James Church during the renovation of that building, fetes, holiday clubs, barn dances, tea parties, and, albeit for one showing, a community cinema. A loved hall in need of re-roofing

This grant application will fund urgent repairs to the main hall roof and four further flat roofs. The repairs are necessary to ensure the building remains open. The main hall roof leaks in several places. These leaks have caused ceiling panels to collapse. We understand several of our roof timbers require urgent replacement. The grant will cover the costs of re-felting the hall roofs.
