Riddings Road Play Zone

The project will create a modern Multi Use Games Area, useable grassed and picnic areas, and attractive hard and soft landscaping. Effective boundary treatment is required for the MUGA and also around the rest of the site, especially as the current kick-about area/basketball court is exposed on two sides with balls finishing up on the rest of the site or in the road. Metal seating around the site, picnic tables in the adjacent elevated playground, informal tiered stone seating around the MUGA and a covered seating area will enable participants to sit and have a rest. A climbing wall with climbing holds and top archways will provide connectivity between the MUGA and the existing children’s play area, and 2 entrance features with 77 lin m of newly surfaced access routes, trees, fruit shrubs and wildflowers will create a more comfortable, pleasant and interesting environment for all users.
