River Darwen Litter Trap

To design, install, manage and maintain a litter trap on the bank for the River Darwen in Witton Country Park. The prominence of this location will draw attention to the litter problem in the river and aid educational activities to reduce the amount of litter deposited near the River Darwen. This project will be delivered by Action Darwen Valley (part of the Mersey Basin Campaign) in partnership with Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, Witton Park staff, Environment Agency, Healthy Waterways Trust, United Utilities, adn the local community including Witton Park Supporters Group.
