River Oaks Charity, Liverpool – Woodland Pathway Replacement 2 (007495)

The project will renew the 406 metres of worn out, overgrown and unusable pathway through field and woodland. Since Covid, and the increased adventuring that took place on foot and cycle/wheelchair/scooter, visitor numbers have rocketed. However,there are many complaints about the state of the public pathway. When the path was installed by Wimpey Housing in 2004 it was 2 metres wide along the whole route and was able to easily accommodate mobility requirements, runners, walkers, school groups and child buggies. In places the path is now unusable even for walkers.
