Rivers in the Park

The Southern part of the Colne Valley Park has a network of river channels and distributaries which is a key part of the history and geography of this area yet public perception of these watercourses and how they link together through the landscape is low.
This project will install signs, maps and interpretation at locations near the Grundon, Colnbrook depot on bridges over and paths adjacent to the Colne Brook, Colnbrook and along the adjacent Colne Valley Trail. These will enhance walking and hiking in the area, inform local knowledge and lead to a greater understanding of the local environment for local people and visitors.
