Rixton Clay Pits Landscape Improvements (WREN Gift Aid)

The enhancement of the landscape in the southern area of Rixton Clay Pits Local Nature Reserve, with new ponds being created for great crested newts, tree planting, enhancement of wildflower areas, including scrub clearance and enrichment of other areas to increase the diversity of wildflowers. Work will also include improved access down to the meadow area and a viewing and dipping platform to give better access to schools to a new pond and improved view of the reserve from near the visitor centre. Work will also aim to engage mixed ability groups in the delivery of aspects of the projects
