RNAS and RAF Heritage and Education Centre for Lossiemouth

Covesea Lighthouse Community Company Limited seek to develop an RNAS and RAF interpretive Centre on the derelict ground adjacent to the Covesea Lighthouse.
This project will bring back to life an area of land and buildings that have been neglected for over 30 years. The provision of this proposed new centre will not only provide an added heritage and education facility for local people but will be an additional attraction on the Moray Coastal Trail that passes through this land, provide an additional access point to the stunning west beach and an added tourist facility in an area largely dependent on tourism.
Establishing a RNAS and RAF heritage and education centre will ensure that the long standing close relationship and heritage between RAF Lossiemouth and the local community is celebrated and showcased in an accessible and user-friendly facility whilst providing the additional space needed to cater for larger groups of people.
