Rochford Road Allotments Site – Rejuvenation of Overgrown, Unworkable Plots

In response to the substantial increase in public interest in cultivating allotment plots over the last 2-3 years, it is proposed to mechanically clear 2800m2 of derelict allotment plots that have become overgrown and congested with brambles, scrub and fly tipped debris, compost the vegetation arising, treat the cleared plots with herbicide, apply 100mm of compost and rotovate ready for cultivation by new holders.
