Rodley Nature Reserve

Rodley Nature Reserve is about 4 miles from the centre of Leeds and lies adjacent to the River Aire and Leeds & Liverpool Canal. The reserve opened in 2000 and it comprises approximately 22 hectares of wetland habitat. There is a visitor centre and parking facilities as well as a small dipping pond for use by children and school groups. Other habitats on the reserve include a large lagoon, duck marsh, reed beds, wet grassland, willow coppice, dragonfly ponds, hay meadow and scrub. The project involves the conversion of an existing viewing screen into a ramped hide for improved access.
