Roman Road Preservation

The Roman road that runs through the Flag Fen site is exposed in one section to show the construction. Its condition has deteriorated due to exposure to wet and frosty weather conditions. This project aims to preserve the roadway through practical protection measures and improve the interpretation. If the road is not preserved its importance will be lost and also cannot be explained for the benefit of the public.
