-Become an important resource for the community as a venue for a wide range of local activity.
-Create new wildlife habitats and with trees, fruit hedges and areas of wildflower meadows planted.
-Increase the numbers of recorded birds, bees, butterflies and other wildlife using the site.
-Increase informal recreation, social, educational and fruit picking opportunities for local residents via the new community garden.
-Improve the health and well being of local residents by providing a pleasant environment with informal recreation opportunities.
-Address anti-social behaviour and flytipping issues in the area through design and greater community use and ownership of the site and improved environmental and maintenance arrangements
