Roof replacement for Alderman Tye Scout HQ, Stourbridge and District Scout Council

This is a project to replace the existing 1960s’ felt flat roof – now leaking – on the Main Hall of the Alderman Tye Scout headquarters (serving Stourbridge and District Scout Council). The project will also include extra insulation and vapour barriers to improve the heating efficiency of the building. The improved facilities have attracted a wider range of users and it is hoped that a new roof will further enhance the safety of the building and also reduce energy usage. In addition to being an administrative centre, the hall is used regularly by Scouts, Guides and Explorers and various community groups, including play groups, a slimming club and sit & sew club.
