Roof Replacement, The Community Church, Forest & Wye, Cinderford

This is a project to replace the roof at The Community Church in Cinderford. The roof has asbestos cement panels with minimal insulation and is starting to show signs of wear and leaks. The project is the safe removal, wrapping, and disposal of the asbestos cement roof, and replacement with insulated composite roofing panels. The project enhances ongoing regeneration of West Cinderford, one of the most economically deprived areas of Gloucestershire. Located near the new Forest Health Centre, Community Hospital, and Gloucestershire College campus, the hub is easily accessible by transport links, benefiting from existing bus services. The project focuses on regeneration of an existing community facility, improving its environmental resilience through a new roof with insulation, creating a more comfortable, welcoming, and accessible space for all. The church is an accessible, inclusive community hub containing vital programs like the food bank and addiction support groups, while accommodating diverse community activities.
