Rose Garden Benches,Warley Woods Community Trust, Smethwick

This is a project to provide three benches for the Rose Garden at Warley Woods, a public open space located in the heart of Smethwick.

In summer 2013 six memorial benches in the central part of the park were pulled from their fixings and burnt in one evening. This was in an area of the park that before our restoration 6 years ago was a no-go area for many people, but the improvements to paths, cutting back shrubs and installing benches and bins have made it a particularly tranquil and well visited area of the site.
