Projects / Rossie Community Woodland

Rossie Community Woodland

The project aims to create pathways for cyclists, pedestrians and horse riders in order to provide good access through the Rossie Estate. It will link exisitng paths, allowing access directly onto Rossie Moor and to the Core path which is sited to the north of the estate. The project proposes to renovate existing bridleways and footpaths; and to create a dedicated route for mountain bikes. The routes pass through established mature woodland, conifer plantations and open meadow. Some routes are partially established but other are to be newly formed. The project will provide signage to separate walkers and horse riders from cyclists and to provide maps at strategic points to provide direction and information.
