Rotherham Rivers (part of the Living Don)

The aim of the Rotherham Rivers Programme is ‘to create a network of connected, high quality habitats along the waterway corridors of the Rivers Don and Rother in Rotherham, supporting clean water, natural flood storage, enhanced biodiversity and enjoyment opportunities for people as part of a Living Landscape’. As part of the overall programme, the funding for this Rotherham Rivers Project will allow the partnership to survey, improve and create 94ha of BAP habitat at 12 sites (LCF monies going towards 11 of these sites) along the river corridors to begin the enhancement of the network.
